Below are some images I took today of a Kayaking event on the Kawerau River which is in the North Island of New Zealand. I only had about 45 mins to capture these images and as this was my first ever kayaking event firstly the most important aspect was to work out the rules and regulations for the event.

I am pretty happy with this attempt at kayaking. The exposure was a bit tricky with all the white water around. I was amazed how close I could actually get to the competitors and ended using my 70 mm - 200 mm f2.8.

It was an enjoyable process and hopefully I can do more in the future.
