White Pointer Fishing Competition

I had the opportunity to go up to Waihau Bay on the East Coast of New Zealand early the other morning to shoot some images of a fishing competition from a helicopter. So the weather was marginal with pretty gusty winds but we managed to get up in the air. The first images are from the heli on the way up and on the ground as we were waiting for all the boats to launch. It was the first time I had shoot out of a heli so a big learning curve. Everything happened very quickly.
The fishermen were all very keen to get out and catch "the big one" so after a quick 5-10 min photo opportunity they were off and gone. Great experience love to do it again.
